Paro

Tiger’s Nest
Taktsang, or Tiger's Nest Monastery, is one of Bhutan's most renowned Buddhist sites. Situated 900 meters above the Paro Valley on a dramatic cliffside, it is an architectural wonder. While Bhutan boasts many monasteries, Paro Taktsang is particularly notable for its profound religious and historical importance.
National Museum
The National Museum of Bhutan stands as a symbol of the country's pride, showcasing its rich art and traditions. With six floors, each tells a distinct story from Bhutan's past. You can explore a variety of exhibits, including paintings, sculptures, animal masks, and other cultural treasures. Originally built in 1649 as a watchtower to defend against Tibetan invaders, it was transformed into the National Museum in 1968, and has since served as a guardian of Bhutan's history and heritage.

Chelela Pass
Chele La Pass, situated at around 13,000 feet between the Paro and Haa valleys, is the highest motorable pass in Bhutan. Known for its breathtaking views of the Himalayas, the pass offers stunning vistas of Mt. Jhomolari, Bhutan's most sacred peak at 22,000 feet, as well as the Tsherimgang mountains, Jichu Drake, and panoramic views of both the Paro and Haa valleys.
Namgay Artisanal Brewery
The Namgay Artisanal Brewery, located at an altitude of 2,195 meters in Dumsibu, Paro, is the brainchild of local entrepreneur Dorji Gyeltshen. Aiming to establish a vibrant and sustainable beer culture in Bhutan, the brewery fulfills his dream of crafting beer using 100% locally sourced ingredients. It offers a range of beverages, including Apple Cider and six different beer varieties: red rice lagers, craft beers, pilsners, pale and dark ales, milk stout, and wheat beer, catering to various tastes. One of the brewery’s standout events is the Bhutanese Beer Festival.
